The water surface, 3-D velocity field, and 3-D salinity fields are computed. Major physical processes affecting circulation and vertical mixing of a large water body are modeled. The model solves the transformed equations on a boundary-fitted grid in both the horizontal and vertical planes. The horizontal grid is a general nonorthogonal curvilinear grid; the vertical grid is a sigma-stretched grid. A newly developed mobile bed version of CH3D-WES is called CH3D-SED.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
CH3D-WES (Curvilinear Hydrodynamics in 3-Dimensions – Waterways Experiment Station) is […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"nf_dc_page":"","om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[22,26],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-489","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-hydrodynamic-2","category-models"],"aioseo_notices":[],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/489","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=489"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/489\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":490,"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/489\/revisions\/490"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=489"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=489"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/communitymodeling.org\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=489"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
